After Getting Your LL
Once you have your Learner's Licence, here is what you need to know:
Valid for 6 months
Your LL is valid for 180 days from the date of issue. It cannot be renewed. If it expires, you need to apply again.
Wait 30 days
You must hold the LL for at least 30 days before you can apply for a permanent driving licence.
Practice with supervision
Drive only with a person who holds a valid permanent DL sitting beside you. Display an "L" sign on the vehicle.
Do not miss the 180-day window. If your LL expires before you apply for the permanent DL, you will need to start the entire process from scratch.
